North Carolina High School Soccer - Clinton knocks off Pender

In Tuesday's league outing, the host Clinton Dark Horses soccer squad scored a tight 4-1 victory over the Pender Patriots.
The Dark Horses (11-2) will now prepare for their outing against South Lenoir (Deep Run, NC). The Blue Devils go into the East Central 3A/4A outing with a 5-4 record. In their last test, South Lenoir by Lejeune (Camp Lejeune, NC), 1-0, in a non-league test.
The Patriots now have a 3-8 record. They take the field next when they host Southwest Onslow for a East Central 3A/4A test on Wednesday, October 1. Pender will clash with a Stallions team coming off a 4-1 league loss to East Duplin (Beulaville, NC). The Stallions record now stands at 1-8.
