The Calloway County Lakers edged the host Murray Tigers volleyball squad by a final score of 3-2 in Tuesday's league outing.

The Lakers now have a 14-12 record. They play next when they host Marshall County for a District 4 outing on Thursday, October 2. Calloway County will play a Marshals team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Graves County (Mayfield, KY). The Marshals record now stands at 13-4.

With the loss, Murray drops to 7-10 on the campaign. The Tigers host Christian Fellowship (Benton, KY) to play the Eagles in a District 4 outing on Thursday, October 2. The Eagles come into the outing with a record of 8-14. Christian Fellowship won 3-1 in their recent non-league game against Carlisle County (Bardwell, KY)
