In Wednesday's league outing, the visiting Belfry Pirates soccer squad scored a tight 1-0 win over the Pikeville Panthers.

The Pirates (3-5) will now prepare for their outing against Prestonsburg (Prestonsburg, KY). The Blackcats enter the District 57 outing with a 2-4 record. In their last outing, Prestonsburg was edged by Perry County Central (Hazard, KY), 4-1, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Panthers confront the Perry County Central Commodores (Hazard, KY) in a non-league outing, on Monday, September 9. Pikeville will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Commodores enter the outing with a 5-3 record after their 6-3 non-league loss to Whitley County (Williamsburg, KY).
