In Friday's non-league challenge, the host Granada Hills Charter Highlanders volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Marquez Gladiators.

The Highlanders (8-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Castaic (Castaic, CA). The Coyotes come into the non-league challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Castaic lost by Golden Valley (Santa Clarita, CA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Gladiators play the Chatsworth Chancellors (Chatsworth, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 7. Marquez will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Chancellors come into the challenge with a 4-7 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Royal (Simi Valley, CA).
