In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Lutcher Bulldogs volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Ascension Catholic Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Sam Houston (Lake Charles, LA). The Broncos come into the non-league challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Sam Houston edged Iowa (Iowa, LA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs meet the Assumption Mustangs (Napoleonville, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 9. Ascension Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Mustangs go into the game with a 2-2 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Terrebonne (Houma, LA).
