Glendale Prep Academy Griffins (Glendale, AZ) boosters were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the host Desert Heights Prep Yote (Glendale, AZ), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Griffins (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Fort Thomas (Fort Thomas, AZ). The Apaches come into the non-league challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, Fort Thomas was nudged by San Carlos (San Carlos, AZ), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Yote meet the Antelope Rams (Wellton, AZ) in a 1A - West challenge, on Monday, September 8. Desert Heights Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 3-2 league loss to Bagdad (Bagdad, AZ).
