With the win, La Serna improves its record to 9-4 on the season. The Lancers travel to Western Christian (Upland, CA) to encounter the Fighting Lancers in a non-league test on Saturday, September 6. The Fighting Lancers go into the test with a record of 14-1. Western Christian lost 2-1 in their recent non-league test against Walnut (Walnut, CA)

The Lancers now own a 2-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Long Beach Poly for a Moore test on Tuesday, September 9. Lakewood will encounter a Jackrabbits squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Jordan (Long Beach, CA). The Jackrabbits record now stands at 10-3.
