North Carolina High School Volleyball - North Johnston over SouthWest Edgecombe

North Johnston Panthers (Kenly, NC) supporters left the game in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars (Pinetops, NC), 3-0 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Spring Creek Gators (Seven Springs, NC) in a Neuse Six 2A match, on Tuesday, September 13. North Johnston will attempt to advance on its 2-4 season record. The Gators come into the match with a 1-4 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to North Duplin (Calypso, NC).

With the loss, SouthWest Edgecombe drops to 2-8 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Ayden - Grifton (Ayden, NC) to clash with the Chargers in a Eastern Plains 2A match on Tuesday, September 13. The Chargers come into the match with a record of 6-3.
