The Blythewood Bengals (Blythewood, SC) volleyball knocked off the visiting May River Sharks (Bluffton, SC), 3-1 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Bengals now possess a 3-8 record. They play next when they host West Florence for a AAAAA Region 5 bout on Thursday, September 11. Blythewood will clash with a Knights team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over A.C. Flora (Columbia, SC). The Knights record now stands at 4-4.

With the loss, May River drops to 5-7 on the year. The Sharks host James F. Byrnes (Duncan, SC) to battle the Rebels in a non-league contest on Thursday, September 11. The Rebels enter the contest with a record of 4-9. James F. Byrnes won 3-1 in their recent league contest against Riverside (Greer, SC)
