Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Cumberland Gap Panthers (Cumberland Gap, TN) and the host Claiborne Bulldogs (New Tazewell, TN), saw Cumberland Gap's soccer squad hold off Claiborne by a count of 4-3.

The Panthers (3-2) will now prepare for their battle against University School (Johnson City, TN). The Buccaneers come into the A District 1 match with a 4-0 record. In their last match, University School nipped Chuckey-Doak (Afton, TN), 3-1, in a league match.

The Bulldogs now sport a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host Campbell County for a non-league match on Thursday, September 11. Claiborne will meet a Cougars team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to DeKalb County (Smithville, TN). The Cougars record now stands at 2-5.
