Baseball Game Recap: Hilton Head Island Seahawks vs. Bishop England Battling Bishops

Hilton Head Island fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Bishop England on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 14-9 to the Bishop England Battling Bishops, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Battling Bishops this season, with their most recent loss being a 14-9 defeat on Wednesday.

Kyle Larson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Sturm, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

This is the second loss in a row for Hilton Head Island and nudges their season record down to 3-6. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Bishop England, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-4.

While Hilton Head Island had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
