Basketball Recap: Ness City Find Success

Ness City won the last time they faced Chase, and Broxton Gall did his part to make sure it happened again. The Ness City Eagles blew past the Chase Kats 73-18 on Friday thanks in part to Gall, who almost dropped a triple-double on nine rebounds, nine assists, and ten steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in boards.

Drake Woods was another key player, going 5 for 12 en route to 12 points and four steals. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

The win got Ness City back to even at 5-5. As for Chase, they are on a 28-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Ness City will be taking part in a tournament against Quinter at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Quinter is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.9 points per game this season. Chase has already played their next contest (against Reno County HomeSchool), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
