There's no place like home for Valhalla, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Helix Highlanders on Tuesday, sneaking past 3-1. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Norsemen as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Jesse McCormick, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Mace Wheeler, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.

Valhalla's record now sits at 6-14. As for Helix, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valhalla will venture away from home to square off against Granite Hills at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Norsemen surely won't give up without a fight. As for Helix, they will head out to challenge Grossmont at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
