Baseball Recap: Seckinger Find Success

Seckinger posted their closest victory since February 15th on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Chattahoochee Cougars 10-8. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 last Tuesday.

Shia Carnish looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.

On the hitting side, Seckinger got a big performance out of Sam Melanson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Melanson a new career-high in RBI (two). Jin Kasuya was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

The win made it two in a row for Seckinger and bumps their season record up to 10-4. As for Chattahoochee, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.

Seckinger will have a chance to go back-to-back against Chattahoochee: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
