St. Marys barely beat Ritchie County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Blue Devils put the hurt on the Rebels with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The Blue Devils are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 11 straight.
St. Marys never let Ritchie County on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-22, 25-10.
Brynnley Bulluck paced St. Marys' offense, picking up 18 kills. Bulluck got some help from Rylee Renner and her 24 assists. Maddie Lambert controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
St. Marys' victory bumped their record up to 23-10-1. As for Ritchie County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-17.
St. Marys has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Clay-Battelle on the 30th. As for Ritchie County, they will head out to face off against Wood County Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
