Basketball Recap: Madison Comes Up Short

Madison lost against Brownstown Central two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Madison Cubs came up short against the Brownstown Central Braves, falling 85-62. While losing is never fun, the Cubs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 290th, while the Braves are ranked 34th).

Madison's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Brownstown Central, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Madison will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Scottsburg at 7:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Brownstown Central also won't see the court for a while: their next contest is against Jennings County at 7:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
