Baseball Game Preview: Heber Springs Panthers vs. Midland Mustangs

The Heber Springs Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Midland Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Heber Springs has struggled recently with 25 losses in a row, while Midland will arrive with ten straight wins.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Heber Springs' offense. They came up short against Central Arkansas Christian on Tuesday, falling 16-0.

Meanwhile, Midland made easy work of Concord on Tuesday and carried off a 13-5 victory. Considering the Mustangs have won 14 games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Midland's win bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Heber Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-17.

Heber Springs might still be hurting after the 14-4 loss they got from Midland when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
