Ali Scott Goes Supernova in LBJ Austin Win

Starting off the list is LBJ Austin's Ali Scott, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Scott threw for 140 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also rushed for 47 yards and a touchdown.

Unfortunately for Travis, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Scott. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Scott saw the Rebels), he threw for 225 yards and five touchdowns while completing 86.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 41 yards and a touchdown.

Big Game from Lewis As Manor New Tech Won 36-18

Daevion Lewis helped snap Manor New Tech's four-game losing streak. Eastside Early College had no answer to Lewis on Friday as he rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, and also caught a touchdown. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 54 yards.

Manor New Tech's win bumped their record up to 2-4. Lewis and Manor New Tech will take on LBJ Austin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Caleb Crenshaw Makes It Two for LBJ Austin

The second LBJ Austin player making an appearance here is Caleb Crenshaw, and for good reason. He picked up 198 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Travis's probably not too fond of Crenshaw given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Crenshaw saw the Rebels), he rushed for 151 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.4 yards per carry, and also caught a touchdown.

Manor New Tech was led to victory by Christian Salazar, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Salazar threw for 184 yards and four touchdowns.

On the season, Salazar has thrown 5 touchdowns while averaging 99.8 passing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 62 passing yards per game.
