Basketball Recap: Hifz Academy Starts off Right with Win over Geneva Classical Academy

Hifz Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They secured a 37-31 W over the Geneva Classical Academy Knights on Tuesday.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Noah Shaffer, who posted seven points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Hale, who put up 12 points.

Hifz Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Universal Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026. As for Geneva Classical Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-17 loss against Four Corners on the 20th.
