Football Recap: Alexander Central Comes Up Short

Alexander Central fell victim to Freedom and their airtight defense on Friday. They were outmatched by the Patriots and fell 42-0. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Freedom had a senior duo take command as Kaden Davis threw for 207 yards and three touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes and Kobe Johnson picked up 147 receiving yards and three scores. Jacorian Logan helped Davis out on the ground, rushing for 63 yards and one TD.

Alexander Central has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Freedom, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Alexander Central wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 42-26 victory against South Caldwell on the 31st. As for Freedom, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 41-0 win against McDowell on the 31st.
