Basketball Recap: Lily Moody Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat North Georgia Homeschool

Eastgate Life Academy's tournament run continued when they took on North Georgia HomeSchool on Saturday. Eastgate Life Academy put the hurt on North Georgia HomeSchool with a sharp 36-14 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Eastgate Life Academy.

Eastgate Life Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lily Moody, who posted eight points and three steals. That's the most steals Moody has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Neely Anderson, who had nine points and three steals.

Eastgate Life Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for North Georgia HomeSchool, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Eastgate Life Academy will take on Philadelphia Christian School in a tournament on Friday. As for North Georgia HomeSchool, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Pinecrest Academy at 5:30 p.m. on the 18th.
