Basketball Recap: Eureka Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Eureka extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Megan Johnson. The Eureka Vandals simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Coleville Wolves 57-12 thanks in part to Johnson, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards. She has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 30 times she's played.

Another player making a difference was Quil Filippini, who posted four points and three steals. Those three steals gave her a new career-high.

Eureka's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Coleville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Eureka didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-22 win against Round Mountain on the 13th. As for Coleville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 37-29 defeat against Pahranagat Valley on the 14th.
