Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Burlington Christian Academy: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Lion blew the Royals out of the water with a 45-11 final score. Fans of the Lion have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill found their leader in sophomore Allie McIntosh, who shot 60% from the field to rack up 23 points. The contest was McIntosh's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Togni, who posted five points and six steals.

Meanwhile, Lee Christian took care of business in their home opener on Thursday. They took down Central Carolina Academy 48-30.

Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill better keep an eye on Madison Mashburn. She was instrumental in Lee Christian's win, dropping a double-double with 21 points and 18 rebounds. Those 18 boards gave Mashburn a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kendall Craven, who went 6-for-15 on her way to 14 points and five rebounds.

Lee Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 16 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Lee Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
