Basketball Recap: Littlefork-Big Falls Takes a Loss

After a string of seven wins, Littlefork-Big Falls's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a blow against the Cherry Tigers, falling 92-64. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 127th, while the Tigers are ranked fourth).

Littlefork-Big Falls' loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Cherry, they pushed their record up to 15-0 with the win, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Littlefork-Big Falls will host Kelliher/Northome at 7:15 p.m. on Sunday. As for Cherry, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Esko at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Cherry knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 games -- so hopefully Esko likes a good challenge.
