Basketball Game Preview: Otto-Eldred Terrors vs. Allegany-Limestone Gators

The Otto-Eldred Terrors will take on the Allegany-Limestone Gators in a tournament on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Otto-Eldred is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Port Allegany: they outscored them in every quarter. The Terrors blew past the Gators 51-25 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Terrors have posted against the Gators since December 14, 2021.

Otto-Eldred's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rayel Hakes led the charge by shooting 63% from the field en route to 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jahden Smith, who posted 12 points.

Meanwhile, Allegany-Limestone slipped by Bradford 40-39 on Friday.

Otto-Eldred beat Allegany-Limestone 51-43 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Will the Terrors repeat their success, or do the Gators have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
