Elk Grove has gone a perfect 10-0 against Davis Sr. recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Elk Grove Thundering Herd will square off against the Davis Sr. Blue Devils at 3:30 p.m. Elk Grove will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Elk Grove barely beat Liberty Ranch the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Everything went Elk Grove's way against Liberty Ranch on Friday as Elk Grove made off with a 9-1 win. The Thundering Herd haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Rachel Williams looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Jadyn Magnuson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Loie Moore also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Elk Grove hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in five consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Davis Sr. got themselves on the board against Lincoln on Saturday, but Lincoln never followed suit. They blew past the Fighting Zebras 13-0. Considering the Blue Devils have won six contests by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Lalya Duarte made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only a hit while striking out 16 over six innings pitched. Duarte was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Davis Sr. got a massive performance out of Gracie Martinez, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Another player making a difference was Kylie Yao, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.
The win made it two in a row for Davis Sr. and bumps their season record up to 7-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 15.5 runs. As for Elk Grove, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. Elk Grove hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Davis Sr. struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Elk Grove came out on top in a nail-biter against Davis Sr. when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. Does Elk Grove have another victory up their sleeve, or will Davis Sr. turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
