Football Recap: Portville/Cuba-Rushford/Hinsdale Central Comes Up Short at Home Against Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Brocton

Portville/Cuba-Rushford/Hinsdale Central unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by the Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Brocton Eagles and fell 42-0. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Brayden Gibbs went supernova For Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Brocton., throwing for 263 yards and four TDs while picking up 11.4 yards per attempt, and also punching in one touchdown on the ground. Carson Fairbank was in the mix too, providing the Eagles with two scores.

Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Brocton pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
