Baseball Recap: Camas Valley Comes Up Short

Camas Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-9 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Douglas/Elkton Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, with their most recent defeat being a 7-0 loss two weeks ago.

Camas Valley's record is now 6-18. As for North Douglas/Elkton, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Camas Valley will face off against Oakland at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Oakers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.82 runs per game on average), something the Hornets will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for North Douglas/Elkton, they will square off against Lowell at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
