Volleyball Recap: Axtell Falls Short of Ingalls in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Axtell can now relate to. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ingalls Bulldogs on Saturday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Natalee Strathman paced Axtell's offense, picking up six kills. Strathman got some help from Katelyn Detweiler and her 13 assists. Regan Hasenkamp controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Axtell's loss dropped their record down to 28-16. As for Ingalls, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 37-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Axtell nor Ingalls have any future games scheduled.
