Volleyball Recap: Grace Christian Academy Triumphs

Grace Christian Academy proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Point Arena Pirates. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lions have posted since October 30, 2024.

Grace Christian Academy was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-22, 23-25, 25-19, 15-12.

Grace Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-8 record this season. As for Point Arena, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Grace Christian Academy is set to challenge their familiar foe Mendocino at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Point Arena will face off against rival Anderson Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
