Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jada Garcia and Chasity Chavez Lead Manzanola to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against La Veta, Manzanola was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Mountain Valley Wolves by a score of 2-0. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bobcats as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Leading Manzanola to victory were Chasity Chavez and Jada Garcia. Chavez had 24 digs, while Garcia had three digs and three aces. That's the most digs Chavez has posted since back in October of 2024.

Several Wolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ivy Jean VanEgmond, who had 13 assists and five digs.

Manzanola's win bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Mountain Valley, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Manzanola didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Raton on the 30th. As for Mountain Valley, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Des Moines on the 30th.
