With a playoff win on the line, Page rose to the challenge on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the McDowell Titans 68-0. The Pirates' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Page's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jabari Johnson, who rushed for 122 yards and a pair of scores on only nine carries. The dominant performance also gave Johnson a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Zamari Williamson was another key player, rushing for 66 yards and one touchdown.
The victory (which was Page's third in a row) raised their record to 8-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 48.3 points over those games. As for McDowell, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.
Looking ahead, Page will face off against Independence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates will need to watch out since the Patriots have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games. McDowell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
