Baseball Recap: Mountainburg Dragons vs. Decatur Bulldogs
While Mountainburg put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Decatur. The Dragons put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 17-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Dragons, who have now won four matches by ten runs or more so far this season.
Ryan Allen made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
