Recap: Langston Hughes Panthers vs. Paulding County Patriots

The Langston Hughes Panthers posted their biggest victory since January 5th on Friday. They blew past Paulding County 68-48. Given Langston Hughes' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while Paulding County is ranked 259th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Langston Hughes' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaron LeMelle, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. LeMelle hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Christian Walthour, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.

Langston Hughes is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Paulding County, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-13.
