Baseball Recap: Norwell's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

After flying high against Mississinewa on Tuesday, Norwell came back down to earth. The Knights fell just short of the Heritage Patriots by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. The loss was the Knights' first of the season.

Norwell saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cayden Cassel, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run was Cassel's first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Norwell fell to 3-1. As for Heritage, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Norwell will be taking part in a tournament against Logansport at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Heritage, they will take on Whitko at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Patriots 1.8, the Wildcats 2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
