Baseball Recap: Emerald Vikings vs. Ninety Six Wildcats

Emerald had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 10-7 victory over the Ninety Six Wildcats. The Vikings' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Finn Howard was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That stolen base was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Eli Swancey was incredible, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3. Beau Hite was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
