Football Game Preview: Curtis Warriors vs. Erasmus Hall Dutchmen

Curtis hasn't had much luck against Erasmus Hall recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Warriors will take on the Dutchmen. Curtis' defense has only allowed 10.6 points per game this season, so Erasmus Hall's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Curtis is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They snuck past Eagle Academy II with a 24-18 victory.

Meanwhile, Erasmus Hall waltzed into their game on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They breezed past the Vikings to the tune of 41-0. Given the Dutchmen's advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Vikings are ranked 158th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Erasmus Hall's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Curtis, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.

Curtis ended up a good deal behind Erasmus Hall when the teams last played back in October, losing 35-19. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Dutchmen's Kendu Brown, who threw for 257 yards and three TDs, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. Now that the Warriors know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
