Basketball Recap: Gretna East Starts Season with Win Against Westview

Gretna East took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with a 70-63 win over the Westview Wolverines. This was payback for the Griffins, who suffered a 49-31 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Gretna East and Westview will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Griffins see the court they'll take on Northwest at 7:00 p.m. on December 5. As for Westview, their break will end when they face Omaha Northwest at 7:00 p.m. on December 12.
