Jahaan Green commands the offense for a Tigers win

Recap: Eastside Tigers vs. Lenape Indians
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Camden, the Eastside Tigers were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They snuck past Lenape with a 57-52 victory. The victory was all the more spectacular given Eastside's disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while Lenape is ranked 14th).
Eastside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jahaan Green led the charge by scoring 16 points. Will Love was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Eastside's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Lenape, their loss ended a eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-3.
Eastside will square off against Metamora at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Lenape won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Kingsway at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th.
