Lancaster hasn't had much luck against South Pointe recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bruins will welcome the Stallions at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Lancaster gave up the first points on Friday, but they didn't give up any more after. They came out on top against Dreher by a score of 20-13. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but the Bruins were the (much) better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, South Pointe had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.6 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 41-0 victory over the Cougars. Considering the Stallions have won four games by more than 20 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Lancaster better focus on containing R.J. Brown and Dailan Duncan as the pair were huge in South Pointe's win. Brown rushed for 61 yards and a pair of scores on only eight carries, while Duncan picked up 82 receiving yards and one touchdown. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 57 yards.

South Pointe's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB 11.5 times. Brysen Ginn led the group effort, picking up 2.5 of those sacks all by himself. Thanks to that big game, Joshua Mcclure is now up to 7.5 sacks on the season.

Lancaster's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for South Pointe, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Lancaster was dealt a bruising 42-13 loss at the hands of South Pointe in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Bruins, Mason Pickett-Hicks (who rushed for 291 yards and three TDs on only 13 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
