Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Southwood walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Eastern Comets with a sharp 3-0 victory on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Comets: they've now won three in a row.

Shania Rhamy paced Southwood's offense, picking up 18 kills. Rhamy got some help from Adi Deaton and her 32 assists. Presley Kroft controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Southwood's victory bumped their record up to 28-3. As for Eastern, the loss snapped their winning streak at 12 matches and leaves them with a 24-8 record.

Southwood has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Oak Hill on the 18th. Eastern does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
