Softball Recap: Winn Comes Up Short

Winn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Southwest Dragons, falling 15-0. If the Mavericks were looking for revenge after losing 12-2 to the Dragons when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Winn's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Southwest, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winn will challenge Jay at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Southwest, they will square off against Southwest Legacy at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Southwest's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Southwest Legacy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
