Recap: Grenada Chargers vs. Coffeeville Pirates

The Grenada Chargers waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They managed a 60-54 win over Coffeeville. For Grenada, this counts as revenge for the 67-53 loss Coffeeville walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.

Grenada's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jarques Perry, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 21 rebounds. Perry hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for ten straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Howard, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Grenada's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-11. As for Coffeeville, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grenada will take on Lake Cormorant at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Coffeeville, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Potts Camp at 7:30 p.m. Potts Camp is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
