They took a 28-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Albany. While the Spartans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Redhawks 7-0 in the first quarter.

Despite their defeat, Corvallis saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Asher Beatty, who picked up 99 receiving yards and one score, was perhaps the best of all. That receiving touchdown marked the first that Beatty has hauled in this season. Nate Bedford was in the mix too, providing Corvallis with two touchdowns.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Central and Dallas, and Dallas kept the tradition alive. The Panthers were beaten by the Dragons 49-13 on Friday. The game marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Corvallis will have to keep a close watch on JT Girod and Ryan Perkins, a pair of players who had a big impact on Central's prior game. Girod rushed for 31 yards and one TD, while Perkins picked up 33 receiving yards and one score.
