League recap: Pablo dominating on the mound for McNair

Tri-City league recap: 5/14/12

Nikko Pablo was the best pitcher in the league this week. His stat line for the week included one win and eight Ks.

Jaden Alsop was the hottest hitter in the league this week, racking up a .818 average, one home run and five RBIs. His McNair team went 2-0.

St. Mary's boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks. On the season, the Rams have allowed just 123 hits, while striking out 183 batters. Michael Rishwain leads the Rams with 46 strikeouts in 44 innings.

West sprayed a league-best 86 hits this week, but still trails St. Mary's, which holds the season lead in base knocks with 233. Chase Martinez has a team-high 16 hits on the season for first-place the Wolfpack, which went 0-2 this week.



Stagg's Jessie Basilio led the league in strikeouts this week with eight. He's ninth in the league with 17 total strikeouts.

Alsop led the league with nine hits this week for the Eagles. On the season, he's hitting .476 and ranks second in the league with 30 hits.
