Forbush posted their closest win since May 9, 2025 on Friday. They skirted past the East Surry Cardinals 4-3. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won eight in a row.

Luke Hutchens spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Gavin Doub, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one double. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Giovanni Casertano was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Forbush's record now sits at 11-9. As for East Surry, their record is now 7-6.

Forbush didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 defeat against West Stokes on the 14th.
