Baseball Recap: West Monona Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for West Monona's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Cherokee Washington Braves on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Spartans in their meetings with the Braves: they've now lost four in a row.

West Monona's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Cherokee Washington, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-6.

Coming up, West Monona will head out on the road to challenge Ridge View at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Cherokee Washington, they will challenge Storm Lake St. Mary at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
