Baseball Game Preview: River Ridge/Scales Mound Wildcats vs. Morrison Mustangs

The River Ridge/Scales Mound Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Morrison Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. River Ridge/Scales Mound has given up an average of 9 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Things were looking good for River Ridge/Scales Mound after they put the first run on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They lost 17-3 to Milledgeville. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

River Ridge/Scales Mound saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bode Dittmar, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Bureau Valley hit Morrison with a five-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Mustangs came up short against the Storm, falling 11-1. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Storm recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Morrison's loss dropped their record down to 13-11. As for River Ridge/Scales Mound, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-19.
