Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Bishop Kenny

Bishop Kenny entered their tilt with Tocoi Creek on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 43-33 win over the Tocoi Creek Toros.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bishop Kenny to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kathleen Crawley, who went 6 of 13 on her way to 13 points along with six boards and three steals. Those three steals gave Crawley a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Baker, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 boards.

Tocoi Creek lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Audrey Beyer, who posted nine points and six rebounds. Asiana McCreary was another key player, putting up eight points and three blocks.

Bishop Kenny pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.0 points per game. As for Tocoi Creek, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-4.

Bishop Kenny wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 51-37 win against Camden County on the 19th. As for Tocoi Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 75-29 victory against Palatka on the 20th.
