Staunton waltzed into their match on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against Pawnee/Calvary/Lutheran by a score of 43-35. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 116th, while Pawnee/Calvary/Lutheran are ranked 288th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Staunton's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-5. As for Pawnee/Calvary/Lutheran, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-13 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Staunton will head out to take on Southwestern at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pawnee/Calvary/Lutheran, they will face off against Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
